REALEASE YOUR MIND
Promotional Campaign Design
This is a non-profit creative workshop designed to inspire young designers, creators, and students who are passionate about creative fields such as graphic design, digital illustration, animation, and photography. The event addresses a common challenge faced by young creatives, including limited exposure to real-world practices, lack of creative confidence, and uncertainty in developing original ideas. By providing an inclusive platform for engaging activities, professional talks, and shared experiences from practitioners in the industry, participants are encouraged to move beyond technical limitations and embrace creativity as a process of concept development
CORE VALUES
INSPIRATION
FINAL CONCEPT
The final concept captures the essence of “Release Your Mind” by translating the workshop’s core idea into a surreal composition. The black-and-white portrait represents structure and constraints that many aspiring creatives experience, while the explosion of vibrant floral elements emerging from the head symbolizes imagination, growth, and potential of creative thinking. By covering the eyes, the design shifts focus away from literal vision toward internal perception, reinforcing the idea that creativity comes from within. The use of surrealism challenges the logic and invites viewers to experiment and explore further. And the use of red as the dominant color emphasizes passion, intensity, and creative energy. Together, the concept aims to maximize attention and curiosity with visually striking imagery.
EXECUTION
CONCLUSION
To translate the idea of “Release Your Mind” into a surreal visual, this project demonstrates a range of skills including concept development and visual storytelling. Strong creative thinking was used to build a metaphor-driven concept, and photo manipulation allowed for integration of imagery. The intentional use of color theory and hierarchy aim for emotional impact and readability. Overall, the design reflects an understanding of branding and audience awareness, creating a concept that engages with aspiring creatives and adapts across platforms.
OUTCOME
Given that less than 2.5% of youth were currently involved in creative industries in Vietnam (via UNESCO), “Release Your Mind” attracted approximately 800 of young creatives, increasing awareness of creative career paths in Vietnam. The workshop built creative confidence and established a collaborative community among designers. In the long term, it contributes to the growth of Vietnam’s creative industry by nurturing the next generation of visual artists.
